Review: Green Line HydroMineral Face Cream and Clear Active Micellar Water

A lot has been written about Green Line brand in blogger's world lately. They launched a micellar water few weeks ago and Slovenian bloggers got a chance to test it evem before it came out. Together with micellar water I received a face cream for normal skin. And this cream is a reason I didn't write this post before. But it's been a while since I started to test both products and I think I've tested them enough, so it's finally time to let you know what I think about them.

Green Line HydroMineral moisturizing cream for normal skin
Green Line says about this cream: "With superfood avocado extract, algae spirulina and mineral water Radenska NaturelleDeeply moistures the skin. Stimulates the natural collagen formation. Restores skin cells. Smoothens first expressional wrinkles. Gives vitality to the skin. No oily residue."

Let's start with a packaging. The cream is in a jar of thick plastic which is very sturdy. For some people this might be very unhygienic packaging, but I said many times before that I don't have a problem with that, because I always use in in the bathroom and I always wash my hands before applying it on my face. The cream itself is thicker, but very light, easy to spread all over the face and sinks in fast. It gaves a matte look to the skin which I specially love. It also did a great job as a makeup base. My skin was smooth and my foundation went on easy and not greasy.
I have a normal skin type, but my skin can be demanding sometimes and it feels dry and itchy. In summer I don't have this problem often, but this year the weather isn't really summery, it's more like spring alike (or even fall, since it rains so much). At the beginning I had a feeling that this cream just isn't moisturizing enough for me. I was using it in my day and night routine and although my skin felt smooth and soft, it didn't felt really moisturized. During the day my skin started to feel itchy, if I didn't wear any makeup. That specially happened when days were colder. In warmer days the story was totally different and this cream was enough. I also have a feeling that my skin got use to it, because lately I love to use it. I always use it in a combination with Balea Aqua serum. So I couldn't really agree that this cream deeply moisturizes the skin, but it's enough for someone with normal and not demanding skin. I definitely like to use it as daily cream.
I also have to mention one thing that bothers me a lot and I seem to be the only one, because other bloggers don't have problem with that - the scent. This cream has very strong floral scent which I'm not a fan of. It does dissapears after I put cream on my face, but still, I prefer face cream with delicate or even non existent scent.
The jar contains 50 g of cream and it's available on Click2Chic and in DM (drogerie markt) for 6,99 €

Green Line Clear Active Micellar Cleansing Water
Green Line says about it: "Micellar cleansing water can be used for cleansing all skin types. It contains  gentle orange flower water. It removes make up from the face and eyes quickly and efficently and it moisturizes skin. It contains no paraben, mineral oils, silicones or alcohol."

The micellar water comes in a plastic packaging with screw the cap. Many bloggers seem to have problems with that, but I don't. I guess I got really use to it. This one has a normal hole that enables easy dosing. It doesn't have a color and it's formula is similar to other micellar waters I tried. Unlike others this one has strong scent, which I don't like that much, but it's also not so annoying as by cream. If I compare it to Garnier, it works the same. It's gentle and it removes makeup nicely. If I wear strong eye makeup I need two pads, otherwise one is enough. It also removes mascaras nicely, but I don't use a waterproof mascara. The only bad job it did with Max Factor Excess Volume mascara which is very hard to remove and micellar water wasn't enough, I had to use Garnier two phased remover. For face I use two or three pads, it depends how long and how much makeup I wear. It didn't irritate my skin or eyes, but I did notice that it happened few times that my skin became a bit red after I cleaned foundation from my face (those were the days when my skin was more sensitive, because I was in the sun for the longer time or similar). But despite redness my skin didn't feel bad. I also didn't notice that it would dry the skin. After micellar waters I always use cleansing gel to clean my skin even better.
The packaging contains 200 ml and it costs 3,99 € (on Click2Chic and in DM). I do like it, but I think it works the same as Garnier micellar water and I'll probably repurchase that one because of a bigger packaging.
In the future I'm planning to do a comparison of Green Line, Garnier and Afrodita micellar waters.

Have you tried any of these products? Thank you for reading!

Kaj menite o njiju? Hvala za pozornost!

  1. Nice review. We don't have this brand over here. I always fret when it's a glass jar - thinking I'll drop it on the tiles and break it!
